Seems like whoever decorated Pinkie Pie's cake in the episode "Party of One" was behind this one as well.
So sorry, Wild Fire... we'll get some other pony on that next year...
So, if there's anything we can learn from this, it is:
Confectionery Writing + Hooves = Tasty Illegibles
Anyway, 24th of May is Sabrina Alberghetti's (a storyboard artist working on MLP:FiM) birthday, so head over to her dA page and wish her a happy birthday. You can find it here ---> [link]
As many MLP:FiM fans know by now, on the season 2 finale, we saw her OC "Wild Fire" become a canon background pony in the show. Sibsy likes getting fanart of her OC, so I figured I'd give her this as a little thank you and happy birthday present.
Happy Birthday Sibsy!

Was quite a rush to do this one, since I noticed Sibsy's birthday a bit late. Was planning to do a basic CG instead of vectors and I'm regretting a bit now. Some elements were a lot trickier to accomplish than what they first appear. For examples, those white candy roses are a lot more detailed than you might think, especially for vectors. Another issue I had was with the illegible "Wild Fire" writing on the cake. The trick was to make it illegible, yet almost alluding to what the word it's trying to say, while still making sure it looked like completely different letters... yeah, it was possibly the hardest part of the pic... That, coupled with some powerclipping issues, caused me to nearly miss the deadline. To stress how close I was to missing the deadline? I was still putting the final touches on it as I was about to head off to work the morning of her birthday.
She is one of the storyboard artists for MLP, and is very active in the community. You should give her gallery some perusing, it's full of cartoony goodness

That's just mean, Stig...
